Course overview: Level 3 Pilates for older adults

Learn how to deliver safe and effective Pilates sessions to older adults by combining the regulated older adult qualification with a dedicated workshop for adapting Pilates exercises for the aging population.

“We retire too early… Our prime of life should be in the 70s and old age should not come until we are almost 100”, those are the famous words of Pilates founder, the eponymous Joseph Pilates and it’s hard to argue with his outlook, especially considering what he was able to achieve with his own body.

Mat-based Pilates offers a wealth of benefits including reducing stress levels, improving balance and strength. It can also prove incredibly effective in alleviating the symptoms of age-related conditions such as osteoporosis, arthritis and low back pain.

As a population, we are living longer than we ever have done before and staying active well into our older years. As a Pilates instructor, your role is to ensure that continues and that you’re helping as many clients as possible.

If you haven’t yet completed the prerequisite course and you’re looking to maximise your career opportunities and earning potential as a new Pilates instructor, this course is combined with our other Pilates instructor courses in the master Pilates career package.
